How to “Egg” Your Neighbor
I may earn money or products from links or companies mentioned in this post. For more details please see my disclosure.
We love to “boo” our neighbors in October but I recently saw that people were “egging” their neighbors during Easter!
My oldest son looooves doing these type of activities that have an element of surprise and I knew he would have fun doing this.
I saw a few prints online but decided to make my own and adjust the wording a little. You can download a free pdf HERE.
So what does “egging” your neighbor look like?
First, print out our note and tape it to your neighbors door. It let’s them know that you put six eggs in their yard. Five of the eggs have a treat and one is empty to remind us of the true meaning of Easter which is that Jesus is alive, they found his tomb empty! What a reason to celebrate and rejoice!
Second, get six eggs. You can pick them up at the dollar store or Target. They sell plastic eggs almost every where during Easter. Fill five of them with candy or some little treat.
Third, hide the eggs! Let your kiddos hide the six eggs in your neighbors yard. I love to pretend that we are being super sneaky and make the boys hide quickly and then we run away. It’s so much fun to see their excitement in this!
